In 2013 the new Aurora Health Centre was formed with the merger of South City Medical Centre and Aurora Health Centre, both of which had been practicing in South Dunedin for more than 20 years.
Now in new, enlarged premises in Macandrew Road, South Dunedin, Aurora Health Centre has ten doctors, male and female, with a wide variety of medical interests. A team of five dedicated nurses work alongside the doctors & administration staff.
We are a teaching practice for medical and nursing students.
Our goal is to provide high quality and affordable healthcare to the community.

Aurora is open from 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday with the last appointment of the day about 4.45pm. There are lunchtime appointments available with some of the doctors, please enquire about availability.
After hours cover, ie weekends, evenings and public holidays is provided by Dunedin After Hours and Accident Centre, 18 Filleul Street, Dunedin. Phone: 479 2900.
From 10.30pm until 8am urgent care is provided by the Emergency department at Dunedin Hospital.

Parking
There is designated patient parking accessed off Macandrew Road including two disability parks. The car parks for patients are numbered 1-20.
