Dr Tika Broto Suharjo

Born in Indonesia,  I came to NZ at 16 straight after completing high school with the goal of studying medicine at Otago University. I was fortunate to have some connection to the South Island in that my oldest sister had the good sense to marry a Cantabrian Kiwi and I wanted to be close to her and his family.

General practice attracted me because I enjoy patients' stories and the continuity of care it offered.  I like the variety and the support that one gets in a smaller workplace as opposed to big hospitals.

Outside of medicine I enjoy travelling, watching movies, socialising with my friends and see myself staying in Dunedin in the future -- although my mom in Solo, a small city in Central Java, would like me home

She completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health in 2019 and attained Fellowship in General Practice in 2023. She was drawn to General Practice early on in medical training due to the variety it provides and the ability to work closely with patients and their whānau to meet their healthcare needs.

Outside of work, Georgie enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, walking, biking, and camping.

Our Nurses

RN Karyn Grellett

Born and raised in Dunedin, Karyn continues to enjoy all Dunedin has to offer. Trained initially as a pharmacy technician, it was the contact with the medical profession both in this role and in her personal life that led to a career in nursing. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing from Otago Polytech and has been at Aurora Health Centre since 2011. She enjoys wound care management and infection control along with the other varied nursing duties, including a focus on health promotion and being a staunch advocate for immunisation.

Outside of work she keeps busy with her partner and their 5 children. She enjoys gardening and caring for her numerous animals on their life-style block.

RN Holly McAuliffe

Holly grew up in Dunedin. She went into nursing at Otago Polytech and graduated in 2017.
Holly started her career as a Theatre nurse at Dunedin public hospital. Then moved to Aurora Health Centre in August 2021 as a Practice nurse. She loves the team environment and continuity of care with patients. She has a particular passion in women’s health.

RN Dianje Strang.

Dianje graduated as a nurse in 2004 from CPIT and commenced her career on the West Coast at Greymouth hospital covering areas including surgical, medical and A & E. She took time out to have a family but continued to work part time in both the hospital and in district nursing. This grew an interest in wound care and she went on to complete post graduate papers in wound assessment and wound management. She also has a strong passion for real food nutrition with a holistic focus towards lifestyle change to improved health outcomes.

Her other passions include gardening, home DIY, Saturday morning Parkrun and interior design.

RN Mireille

Mireille (pronounced as Mariah) was born and raised in the Netherlands and immigrated to Dunedin New Zealand in 2023 with her husband (also a nurse) and daughter. Mireille graduated nursing in 1995 and has worked in several specialties in the hospital and district nursing, volunteered as a nurse with Mercy ships in Africa for a year, was trained and had a job as a teacher of nursing, and worked as a RN nurse in Norway and New Zealand. In April of 2025 her adventure as practice nurse at Aurora Health Centre started and she never looked back. She enjoys the teamwork, the patient contact and finding the best treatment of care especially regarding diabetes and support in mental health.

Mireille loves spending time with her husband and daughter - especially going on camping trips together. She is involved in church work and will never say no to a cappuchino, a good book, or a walk on the beach. Traveling and exploring new places make her heart smile.
